Jermisha Dosty Named Player of the Month

Moraga, CA (March 9) - Junior center Jermisha Dosty (Fair Oaks, CA) was named the women's basketball West Coast Conference Player of the Month for the month of February.
Dosty averaged 14.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game in the month of February as the Gaels won all seven of their games and rallied from a two-game deficit to become co-WCC champions. The 6'3" junior scored in double figures six times and collected five double-doubles, including four straight to end the season, and collected at least nine points and eight rebounds in all seven contests. She ended the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds at Santa Clara, 20 points and 15 rebounds against Pepperdine, and 12 points and 10 rebounds against Loyola Marymount. She also chipped in 1.3 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game, while shooting 48.3 percent from the floor.
Dosty and the Gaels will return to action next week when they begin NCAA Tournament play. Opponent and game time is to be announced.
