Senior (2013): Selected to the All-PCSC First Team in a standout final season for the Gaels ... Started all 51 games, splitting time between catcher, first base and designated player ... Hit .284, leading the team in RBI (27) and hits (46) ... Second on the team in total bases with 61 ... Nine extra-base hits included three home runs and six doubles. .. Earned PCSC Player of the Week honors in her final weekend at Cottrell Field, going 7-for-14 with eight RBI in a sweep of Santa Clara ... Led the team with 13 multi-hit games ... Had three hits three times, including a 3-for-4 day against Sacramento State on March 16 that included a double and four RBI ... Went 5-for-12 with a home run and three RBI in series against San Diego ... Went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI against highly ranked Oregon ... Compiled a .989 fielding percentage ... Provided important senior leadership on a team with 12 freshmen and just two seniors (Smith and Jessica Lemmon).
Junior (2012): Played in 47 games with 45 starts, 22 as the catcher and 23 as the designated player ... hit .225 for the season with three doubles, three home runs, 25 RBI and nine runs scored ... had 13 two-out RBI, seven multiple hit games and six multiple RBI games ... hit .304 in PCSC play with two doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI ... was 2-for-4 with four RBI on April 22 against Santa Clara ... went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk on April 15 against CSU Bakersfield ... had a 3-for-4 day with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored to open up the Bakersfield series on April 14 ... hit a game-ending grand slam on March 2 against Weber State and finished the game with five RBI ... had a four-game hit streak from March 2-3 ... went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored on February 25 against Seattle ... was 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored against Indiana on February 11.
Sophomore (2011): Named to the PCSC All-Coastal Division Second Team ... played in 38 games with 37 starts primarily as the catcher ... hit .308 (32-for-104) with five runs, three doubles, three homeruns and was second on the team with 17 RBI ... had a .423 slugging percentage and .354 on base percentage ... hit .393 (22-for-56) in PCSC play with four runs, two doubles, two homeruns and 15 RBI ... had eight multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games ... had a season long five game hit streak ... was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and a grand slam on May 8 against Santa Clara ... went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI on April 23 against CS Bakersfield ... was 2-for-3 with a homerun against LMU on April 9 ... hit her first homerun of the season in game two against Pacific on opening day.
Freshman (2010): Played in 33 games starting 24 for the Gaels...hit .197 going 15-for-76 with three runs scored and eight driven in...she hit .500 with runners on third...recorded her first collegiate RBI on 2/19 against New Mexico State going 1-for-2...on 2/28 vs. Southern Utah, she went 3-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI with her first career home run...had four multi-hit games, went 2-for-3 against Northridge on 3/7...went 2-for-5 with a run scored, an RBI, and a double against Weber State on 2/20...made her Saint Mary's debut on 2/19 against Bradley, going 1-for-2.
High School: Comes to Saint Mary's from Rolling Hills Estates, CA where she lettered three years in softball at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (PVPHS)...helped her team win three Bay League Championships hitting 18 homeruns and posting a .324 career batting average...in 2008, Smith was named to the All-Bay League Second Team and was awarded the team's coaches award...as a senior, was named to the All-Bay League First team and Daily Breeze All-Area Team while earning Team MVP and was a finalist for PVPHS Athlete of the Year...was named team captain her senior year and was named PVPHS Most Outstanding Captain...majoring in History with plans to attend Law School after graduating from SMC.
