Saint Mary's had two quick doubles wins and four straight set singles victories on Saturday against Pacific.
MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's continued their dominance over conference opponents on Saturday as they defeated the Pacific Tigers 5-0 at home for their sixth win in their past seven matches.
The Gaels (7-8, 4-1 WCC) easily earned the doubles point with wins on Courts 1 and 2. Clementine Clement and Chloe Goyette took the first set against Pacific's No. 2 tandem, 6-2, and Hind Abdelouahid and Mariia Kozyreva cemented the point with a 6-1 against Dohee Lee and Maya Lopez.
Saint Mary's powered past the Tigers (4-10, 1-4 WCC) in singles action as well with all four wins coming in straight sets. Kozyreva got the Gaels rolling with a 6-1,6-2 victory in the No. 1 slot and her doubles' partner Abdelouahid took a 6-3, 6-3 win on Court 4. Clement fought through a tough first set for a 7-5 result before taking the match with a 6-2 second set. Jordan Harris completed the Gaels' win with a 7-5, 6-1 decision against Jacquie Tan.
