SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Two-thirds of the Gaels' outfield was named All-West Coast Conference on Tuesday as Dylan Linton and Kimiko Zapanta were selected to the WCC's Second Team. In addition, Bailey Lotz, Sofia Earle and Eryn McCoy were named honorable mentions.

Linton earns her first All-WCC nod after starting all 51 games for the Gaels and leading the team with a .305 batting average. The senior also led or co-led Saint Mary's in doubles, triples, extra base hits, runs, OPS, and slugging percentage. The speedy Linton used her wheels to swipe six of seven bags successfully in her final season and led all outfielders with 66 putouts.

Zapanta earned her second Second Team recognition in as many years after leading the WCC in stolen bases once again. The sophomore swiped 39 bags as a freshman and added 15 this season despite starting in only 33 games. Zapanta finished the season with the Gaels' second highest batting average at .269 and owned a terrific .981 fielding percentage while playing left field.

The senior first baseman Lotz batted .260 and drove in 14 runs during her final year as a Gael. Earle was SMC's most effective pitcher as a freshman with a team-best 3.92 ERA and 80 strikeouts while McCoy was the staff's workhorse with 144.2 innings pitched and a 4.12 ERA.
