Saint Mary's sits in 11th place after two rounds in Toledo.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Saint Mary's opened play at the Inverness Intercollegiate on Monday and wrapped up play after two rounds in 11th out of the competitive 15-team field.
THE LEADERBOARD
Tennessee leads all teams heading into the final round with a 7-over total. The Volunteers lead second place Notre Dame by four strokes who is followed by Auburn, Texas Tech, and LSU.
Saint Mary's finished 35-over after two rounds and improved by seven strokes in the middle round. Ash Hakim and Ethan Farnam led the team's efforts at 8-over after two rounds. Michael Slesinski is just one stroke back at 9-over and Ryan Grauman sits at 10-over.
Blake Hathcoat rounded out the lineup for Saint Mary's at 13-over as did Ethan Ashbrook as an individual at 15-over.
Auburn's Andrew Kozan leads the medalist leaderboard at 2-under. Only seven competitors in the 90-man field shot even or better through the first two rounds.
The Gaels performed well on par 3's through the first 36 holes with the third lowest score in the tournament at 6-over. Hathcoat and Slesinski tied for fourth in the field with even totals on the holes.
