MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's men's tennis team (2-4) will play in just one contest this week as they look to host Nevada on Saturday at noon.

In their last match, the Gaels secured two victories against UC Irvine but were unable to overcome the Anteaters as they dropped the 6-1 decision. In singles, Matis Bot claimed the lone point for the Gaels as he defeated Barthe in straight sets, 7-6, 7-5, on Court 5. Felipe Rincon and Abhishek Bastola paired up to take on Merville/Barthe in doubles action and cruised to a 6-3 win as the No. 3 seed.

Nevada currently owns a 5-2 overall record as they just dropped their first two contests of the season last week to snap their five-game winning streak. Delmas N'tcha has led the team so far as he is 4-0 in singles action while recording a 1-0 record as the top seed and a 3-0 posting in the No. 4 seed. Isaac Nortey and Julien Evrard have proven to be a strong doubles duo as they are 4-2 overall in the No. 1 doubles spot.
