MSOC | Lucas Andrews Honored as All-Region Scholar

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Saint Mary's senior Lucas Andrews has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region team for his terrific work in the classroom as announced today by the organization.
Andrews will be graduating this spring with a degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in sports and recreation management and boasts a 3.45 GPA. The San Jose native was one of just 49 Div. I men's soccer student-athletes to receive the honor.
In addition to his excellent grades, Andrews was one of the top offensive players in the West Coast Conference this season. He led the Gaels in both goals and points and was tied for second and tied for third, respectively, in those categories in the WCC.
Andrews started every match for SMC and fired off a team-best 22 shots with 12 of those attempts coming on net. In the final match of the season, he tallied a goal and assist on the road against Portland.
