LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's Men's Tennis went 2-0 at home over the weekend, defeating USF 4-1 and Santa Clara 4-3, bringing the Gaels to 2-1 in WCC play this season.

On Saturday USF came out of the gate taking the doubles point, but that would be all they would get against the Gaels who swept the singles competition.

Sunday's win came down to the wire as the Gaels took down a Broncos squad that came into the match with a record of 9-6 overall. The singles matches against the Broncos were just the opposite of how it went against the Dons, with the Gaels' losses coming in two sets and their wins taking the full three.

ABOUT UC IRVINE
The Anteaters have been a streaky team this season, losing four in a row and two in a row this season, but are currently on a six-match winning streak. Four of their six losses were to teams currently ranked in the ITA Top 75 in USC, UCLA, Pepperdine and Boise State.

Brandon Park and Noah Zamora have been tough to beat since making their doubles debut on Feb. 19 as they improved to 8-2 at the top of the lineup.

ABOUT LMU
The Lions are 4-2 this season at home while going 1-4 on the road and 2-0 at neutral sites. They've defeated UC Riverside, UC Irvine, San Diego State, Utah State, Idaho, Denver, and Navy. They blanked the Midshipmen 7-0, but were just swept 4-0 by Pepperdine on March 25.

ABOUT PEPPERDINE
After sweeping a doubleheader on Saturday, the Pepperdine men's tennis program has also swept the weekly West Coast Conference awards for the second time this season.

No. 62 Daniel De Jonge was named the singles player of the week, while he and Tim Zeitvogel were honored as the doubles team of the week.

De Jonge won both of his matches while only dropping six total games in the process to help the Waves defeat both LMU and No. 28 Cal. With the 6-4, 6-1 win over Cal's No. 120 Ryder Jackson, De Jonge has now won two ranked matchups this year.

No. 58 De Jonge and Zeitvogel won a pair of matches as a doubles tandem over the weekend, helping Pepperdine secure both doubles points against LMU and Cal with 6-3 wins. The pair is now 6-4 together this dual season.

This is the sixth career weekly honor in singles for De Jonge and third this season after being named the league's singles player of the week on February 14 and March 7. This is the third weekly doubles award for De Jonge and Zeitvogel, who were previously honored on February 14 and February 28.
