TRK | Stanziano Hits the Track at Stanford Invite

PALO ALTO, Calif. – While the rest of the SMC Track and Field team was busy competing at the Mike Fanelli Classic in San Francisco, junior Rayna Stanziano was down south in Palo Alto competing at the Stanford Invite.
Stanziano traveled to the event to compete in the women's 5k, which took place throughout Friday. A handful of heats competed in the morning while Stanziano's heat competed at night.
The junior finished 14th in a heat of 16, as she crossed the line in a time of 16:22.24. Although not her best run of the season, her time was her second fastest 5k ever, leaving plenty of room to improve as the meets continue to come thick and fast throughout the remainder of the spring.

Stanziano will rejoin her Gaels teammates for the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley on April 8.
