WTEN | Spartans Hand Gaels First Sweep of the Season

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Saint Mary's traveled to the South Bay to take on San Jose State in their sixth dual match of the season. The match was a makeup from February 14th and the Spartans came ready to play, handing the Gaels their first sweep of the season.
Saint Mary's led in three different matches but they would go unfinished as a 7-5 6-1 singles win for Duru Durgun would complete the 4-0 victory. Juliette Daries and Stefanie Silva led 4-3 in their doubles match before San Jose State clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Madison Weekley and Tiana Fox.
The Gaels will return to Moraga to host Oregon on Saturday, February 22nd. The dual match is slated to start at 11:00 AM and live results can be found at smcgaels.com.
