MORAGA, Calif. - After picking up their first two wins of the 2025 season, Saint Mary's took home plenty of hardware now including the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week in junior midfielder
Emmie Ennis. The Gaels swept the WCC weekly awards with
Savannah Schwarze and
Kate Plachy but Ennis took home the department's weekly award after recording a goal and an assist over her two games.
Ennis came off the bench and scored the opener against San Jose State for her first goal of the season and just the second of her career. She finished that match with 56 minutes of action and a pair of shots in what ended as a 2-0 win over the Spartans. She then returned to the starting lineup Sunday afternoon against Boston and recorded an assist on the team's second goal to put them up 2-0. Saint Mary's would run away with the 4-0 victory to improve to 2-1-1 on the season. This goes down as Ennis' first Shamrock Student-Athlete of the Week award of her SMC career.
The Gaels will hit the road to take on Big West member UC Davis Thursday night before finishing the week at home, hosting Hawaii on Sunday, September 7th at 12:00 PM. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+ and tickets for Sunday's match can be purchased online at smcgaels.com/tickets.
