MT&F | Wirshing Leads Gaels in 400m at the Jim Linthicum Invitational

CUPERTINO, Calif. — Saint Mary's men's track and field kept its season rolling at the Jim Linthicum on Friday and Saturday.
Spencer Wirshing continued his season of success, leading the Gaels in the 400 meters and placing second overall with a time of 50.70, the second-fastest time in program history, only behind his own mark. Noah Pagaran and Zack Springer competed in the event for the first time, finishing in 51.54 and 51.87, respectively.
Aiden Tarantino made his 800 meters debut, recording a time of 2:05.84.
In the 1500-meter, Jon Fielding Stogner and Joel Fischer each earned personal bests with times of 4:09.38 and 4:09.57, respectively.
The Gaels will return to action Thursday, April 16 through Saturday, April 18 at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa.
