

BSB | Sniffen and Williams Highlight WCC All-Academic Team for Saint Mary’s

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - On Monday, May 18, the West Coast Conference announced the 2026 All-Academic Team selections which included a pair of First Team selections for Saint Mary's in Makoa Sniffen and Brett Williams and three additional Honorable Mention selections.
Sophomore Makoa Sniffen and Brett Williams earned their first All-Academic selections for their success on the field and in the classroom. Sniffen has not only been a force on the field with a .365 batting average and eleven homers, he also has a 3.85 GPA as a Finance major at Saint Mary's. Williams led the charge in the classroom for the Gaels with a 3.95 GPA as a Physics major. Williams acts as the number two catcher for the Gaels and also a DH option, hitting .359 this season over his 28 games played.
Three more Gaels earned Honorable Mention status including Cody Kashimoto, Brady Petit and Noah Waldeck. Kashimoto earned his second consecutive All-Academic selection with a 3.52 GPA as a Health Science major while Petit and Waldeck were first-time selections. Petit posted a 3.75 GPA as a key returner for the Gaels from their 2025 NCAA Regional run while Waldeck has 15 appearances out of the bullpen for Saint Mary's this season and a 3.24 GPA in Sports Management.
