BSB | Valenzuela Throws out First Pitch at Giants Game; Gaels Recognized on Saint Mary's Night

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Saint Mary's baseball team was honored pregame on Tuesday, May 5 at the San Francisco Giants game as a part of Saint Mary's College Night at Oracle Park. The Gaels were showcased on the jumbotron and also had the privilege of throwing out the First Pitch courtesy of head coach Eric Valenzuela. Valenzuela was joined on the mound with seniors Cody Kashimoto and Jared Mettam, members of the 2025 WCC Championship and NCAA Regional squad. Valenzuela fired in some high heat as the Gaels got to take in a one-of-a-kind moment at Oracle Park.
The Saint Mary's baseball program extends its full appreciation and gratitude to the San Francisco Giants for the opportunity and recognition of the college Tuesday night. The full First Pitch ceremony can be seen HERE. Saint Mary's will resume West Coast Conference play down in Los Angeles, taking on LMU starting on Friday, May 8. The Gaels will then end the regular season at home the following week as they host San Francisco for Senior Weekend.
