Biography

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023): Led the team with 16 starts during her second season, and tied for the team lead with 26 appearances...went just 5-12 on the year but had a 3.34 earned run average across 109 innings, tied for the most on the Gaels...went the distance five times, including a complete game shutout against BYU in the season finale against the Cougars, which clinched SMC's first-ever series win over BYU...tossed three-straight complete games from February 11-17, earning wins against Utah Tech and Hawaii...set a career-best with seven strikeouts against UC Davis on March 4, a relief appearances...picked up a save against Pacific on April 29 after getting the final four outs...had the fewest walks among qualifying pitchers for the Gaels with just 21 over those 109 innings.

AS A FRESHMAN (2022): Appeared in 24 games and made three starts for Saint Mary's as a true freshman...went 1-1 in the circle with a 9.96 ERA...her 32.1 innings were the third most on the pitching staff...had three outings on the season where she did not allow an earned run, including 1.2 perfect innings against eventual-NCAA Tournament participant, LMU...recorded the first two strikeouts of her collegiate career against Montana in her first collegiate appearance, where she allowed just one hit in 1.2 innings...went 4.2 innings on February 19 against Sacramento State for the longest outing of the season, where she allowed just one earned run...also made five appearances at the plate.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Graduate of Burlingame High School...played three sports at Burlingame and lettered in both softball and basketball...a
s a freshman, O'Connor batted .453 at the plate while pitching to a 1.85 ERA and striking out 95 batters in the process...rewarded with a CSS All-League First Team selection as well as being named the MVP of her team...the following year, the Burlingame native lowered her ERA to 1.26 while still batting .380 to earn another All-League honor...was off to another great start during her junior campaign before the season was cut short as in just three games she struck out 23 hitters and smacked three home runs herself...recruited by Santa Clara, San Jose State, UC Santa Barbara and Eastern Kentucky...plans to study allied health sciences in Moraga with aspirations of earning her MSN after graduating.
