AS A SENIOR (2020-21): Played in both singles and doubles in all 14 matches … named All-WCC First Team in singles as well as doubles with her partner Danielle McIntyre … also selected to All-WCC Preseason Team … chosen as a WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention and ITA Scholar Athlete … ranked No. 17 in the nation by the ITA to begin the year … finished the season ranked No. 81 … went 11-1 in singles play and won her first nine decisions to begin the season … was 3-0 against nationally ranked opponents and 6-1 against WCC competition … named the WCC Singles Player of the Week on Mar. 30 after going 2-0 against BYU and San Diego with a win over No. 66 Solymar Colling of USD … 9-5 overall in doubles with all but one match played with McIntyre as the Gaels’ No. 1 pairing … went a perfect 7-0 in doubles during conference play with McIntyre … dominated Stanford’s No. 63 Emily Arbuthnott on Mar. 12 by a 6-1, 6-0 score … all but one of her 11 singles wins came in straight sets … defeated No. 5 Pepperdine’s top tandem of Lahey/Redelijk by a 6-1 final … named Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week on Apr. 6.
AS A JUNIOR (2019-20): Appeared in every match for the Gaels … named ITA Northwest Region Player to Watch after the season … finished the season as the No. 21 ranked player … topped out at No. 19 earlier in the season … ranked the No. 48 doubles pair with Danielle McIntyre in ITA preseason rankings … went 6-3 in singles during the spring as the team’s top singles player … defeated No. 16 Katarina Kozarov of Furman for her best win of the year in the team’s final match … went 4-5 in doubles between the No. 1 or 2 slot … named to the All-WCC Preseason Team … won the consolation singles finals at the ITA Fall Championships in Newport Beach … won five straight matches, including three over ranked opponents after dropping her first match … finished runner-up at the ITA Northwest Regionals in singles out of the 128-competitor field.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Led the Gaels’ efforts this season with a 12-5 singles record and went 11-3 in doubles as the top singles and doubles player … elected to First Team Singles and Doubles … named First Team Doubles with partner Hind Abdelouahid after a stellar spring season … claimed WCC Doubles team of the Week with Abdelouahid twice during the season … earned two Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honors … chosen for the All-WCC Preseason Women’s Team … competed in the first round of the NCAA Doubles Championships with Abdelouahid as a No. 32 nationally ranked tandem … led the team in doubles matches with Abdelouahid after posting an 11-1 overall record and a perfect 8-0 record in conference play … competed in the second round in singles of the ITA National Fall Championships consolation round … played in the doubles Round of 16 with Aubane Ville at the ITA Northwest Regionals ... tallied a straight set win in singles consolation on the third day of the ITA Northwest Regionals … collected multiple wins at the Cal Invite and SMC Invite.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017-18): No. 1 singles and doubles player... All-WCC Second Team in singles and Second Team in doubles... defeated No. 9 Anna Danilina of Florida in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4... reached as high as No. 99 for singles rankings by the ITA/Oracle... won four straight doubles matches with Hind Abdelouahid from April 4-14...went 5-3 in WCC doubles matches... impressive in singles and doubles competition during the fall season... Paired with fellow freshman Aubane Ville in doubles matches... claimed the doubles crown at the Cal Invite... advanced to A Flight Doubles semifinals at the SMC Invitational... moved to the Round of 32 at the ITA Pacific Northwest Regionals... advanced to the Round of 16 at the ITA Regionals... named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week on Oct. 23... fell to Anna Bright of Cal in the finals of the Saint Mary's Invitational... went 4-1 at the SMC Invitational...
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Kozyreva won multiple tournaments overseas including ITF Grade 5 tournaments in both Armenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina in singles play... She also finished as a semi-finalist in a Grade 4 tournament in Turkey as well as a finalist in a Grade 3 competition in Russia… On the doubles court, Kozyreva had tournament victories at Grade 3, 4, and 5 levels… Kozyreva is planning to study law during her time at Saint Mary's and is interested in pursuing a master's degree after completing her undergraduate work... Her parents are Olga and Alexander, and she has a brother, Mikhail.
