PRIOR TO SMC: Dong hails from Brisbane, Australia, and joins the Gaels as the #129 ranked player in the land down under...has represented QLD in the Australian Teams Championships...ranked #1 player in Singapore...hobbies include singing, drawing, and relaxing bike rides with her friends...family includes her dad, Jin Song, her mother, Dan Dan, and her two older brothers Jie Dong and Chen Dong

WHY SMC?
"When I spoke to Kat, I felt a strong connection and felt comfortable talking to her during the recruitment process. To me, having a strong connection with my coach was an extremely important aspect when choosing a college. SMC is also located at a beautiful location and the campus itself is gorgeous so I was really drawn to the location. Although this school is small, it's good how everyone knows one another and it feels like one close family."
