Wade Muttitt took home the year's first Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week award for his game winner against Cal Poly on Sunday, August 25th. Muttitt was effective all game long playing 57 minutes and tallying a game high four shots. In the ninth minute, Muttitt broke free in the midfield and fired a shot off the left post and in for his first goal of the season and the tenth of his Gaels career. Saint Mary's went on to win 2-0 for their first win of the 2024 season and Muttitt collected his second Shamrock Student-Athlete of the Week award of his career.
