MSOC | Gaels Head to Midwest for 2026 Season Opener; 2026 Fall Schedule Announced

MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's soccer team announced its full 2026 fall schedule on Thursday, June 11. The Gaels will kick off the season with a pair of big time road matches, at Big Ten member Wisconsin and then over to Marquette on August 20 and 23. Thursday's match with the Badgers will be just the fourth all-time in program history and first since 1999 while the Gaels and Golden Eagles will face off for the first time in program history later that weekend.
Head coach Adam Cooper and his Gaels will play their home opener at Saint Mary's Stadium on Thursday, August 27 against Sacramento State. The 2026 campaign features eight home and ten road contests. The West Coast Conference will also introduce its first ever conference tournament starting on November 11. The postseason tournament will feature the top four teams after conference play and crown a tournament winner which also comes with the AQ bid for the NCAA Tournament.
WCC play for the Gaels will start at home against Bay Area rival San Francisco on September 26. Saint Mary's will take on first-year conference member Denver on October 21 at home before ending the regular season at San Diego on November 6. Additional key matches for the Gaels this upcoming season include a home contest against Air Force and matches against Creighton and Omaha as the final two road non-conference matches of the season.
