MORAGA, Calif. — The start of basketball season is less than two weeks away, with both Saint Mary's basketball teams beginning their seasons at home on November 7. Fans celebrate the official beginning to the season with the Saint Mary's Basketball Season Kick-Off Online Auction, which begins at 10:00 am on the morning of November 7.
 
The 2022-23 season is shaping up to be a special one in Moraga, after a wildly successful 2021-22 campaign. The women's basketball program won the Women's Basketball Invitational after winning three games in three days, taking down Cleveland State in the title game. The men's basketball team is looking to return to the NCAA Tournament after reaching the second round last year, beating Indiana in the first round and finishing the regular season 16-0 at home.
 
A wide-range of auction items will be up for grabs during the first week of basketball season, including a seven-night stay in Broadbeach, Australia; a Zoom call with ESPN Bracketolgist, Joe Lunardi; baskets curated by the women's basketball student-athletes; wine tasting packages; men's basketball tickets vs. Gonzaga; and much more.
 
Fans can begin bidding on items at 10:00 am on Monday November 7, one hour before tip-off of the women's basketball season opener against Nevada. The live online auction will run all week long and close on Friday, November 11 at 6:00 pm.

The basketball season officially gets underway on Monday, November 7 with a basketball doubleheader inside University Credit Union Pavilion. First, the women's team begins their season with a home contest against the Nevada Wolfpack, which gets going at 11:00 am. That night, the men's basketball team plays Oral Roberts at 7:00 pm to cap off an exciting day of festivities on campus.
 
There will be an alumni tailgate and a pre-game party in the Soda Center leading up to tip-off of the men's game. Tickets are still available for both games and can be purchased HERE. Single-game tickets are on sale for the entire season for both teams, with the exception of BYU and Gonzaga tickets for men's basketball.
