RENO, Nev. - Saint Mary's Baseball couldn't keep up with Nevada on Tuesday in a 13-3 loss in non-conference action.
The Gaels got on the board when
Dalton Mashore walked to start the fifth inning, swiped second and third for his 19th and 20th stolen bases of the season, and came in to score on a
Gavin Napier RBI ground out to cut the deficit to 4-1.
Saint Mary's would score all three of their runs on outs.
Kyle Velazquez drove in
Seth Nager with a sac fly in the seventh, and
Javy Espinoza had an RBI groundout in the ninth to plate Nager.
SMC was hitless until the sixth when
Nick Mistone got a base hit and
Coleman Schmidt doubled, but they were left stranded in scoring position. The Wolfpack got their scoring started in the second when they scored four times, with three runs coming in on a home run. They would get five more in the sixth and three more in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
