SB | Seven Gaels Receive Academic Honors from NFCA

MORAGA, Calif. — The Saint Mary's Softball program was recognized for their achievements in the classroom this past year as seven Gaels were selected as National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes. To qualify for the award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale over both semesters of the 2021-22 academic year.
The following Gaels received the prestigious honor: The Gaels were also one of the 150 NCAA DI programs to receive a 2021-22 Easton/NFCA Team GPA award for holding a GPA of above 3.0 for the year. Saint Mary's finished off the year with a 3.319 grade point average.
This is the third time this summer a number of SMC softball student-athletes have been honored for their academics. Earlier today, the WCC announced their annual Commissioner's Honor Roll, and eight Gaels took home WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention honors.
