MORAGA, Calif. – Head coach Dan Cardiff picked up his first dual win on Saturday with a clean sweep over Jessup, 7-0. The Etchecoin brothers paired up in doubles action and took down Jessup's Mario Curiel and Joren Stevens to aid the Gaels in taking the doubles point. True freshman Sam Simmonds made his collegiate debut with a doubles win alongside Pierre Lieutaud while Bastien Maxant and Francisco Duran rounded out doubles play with a 6-0 sweep.

The momentum carried over into the duals as all six Gaels would win their matches in straight sets. Both Paulo Hugo Etchecoin and Juan Pedro Etchecoin would complete perfect days with singles victories while junior transfer Joey Lyon stepped in to win his dual 6-2 6-0 over Tanner Sitanggang. Duran, Maxant and Simmonds would round out the rest of the duals as Saint Mary's cruised to the 7-0 victory.
