LAST TIME OUT (t-4th place at N.I.T.)
Saint Mary's started its spring season out on the right foot, finishing 20-under-par in a tie for fourth place at the annual N.I.T. hosted by the University of Arizona late last month. Redshirt freshman Sam Baumuller has continued to impress in his first season of competition, leading the Gaels with a t-10th place finish at 7-under-par. Baumuller now has a team high four top-10 finishes this season and his 7-under three-round performance went down as his second lowest score of his career as he carded an 11-under finish at the 2025 Island Resort Intercollegiate this past fall.
Aidan Lee was also solid in his three rounds, finishing t-18th at 5-under-par. Mitchell Hoey was the other top-25 finisher for Saint Mary's at 4-under. All four counting scores for the week were even par or better as the Gaels finished above no. 27 BYU and fellow WCC member Santa Clara. Saint Mary's will enter the week in good form and look for their first top-10 finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate over their last four appearances in the event.
