AS A SENIOR (2021): Appeared in 16 games for Saint Mary's while making 11 starts in the SMC rotation as a senior...began the season as the team's Friday starter...compiled a 5-6 reocrd with a 4.21 ERA across 72.2 innings, the third most innings thrown on the Gaels...struck out a career-best 11 in his second start of the year, where he threw 6.2 innings of a three-hit shutout ball against California Baptist, which earned him WCC Pitcher of the Week honors...in his final appearance, Lomeli drew the start against Santa Clara on May 21 and threw the only complete game of the year for Saint Mary's, allowing six hits and two runs (both in the ninth inning) while earning the win...his 66 total strikeouts on the season were the second most by any Gael.
AS A JUNIOR (2020): Made four starts as the front-line starter for the Gaels in 2020…despite going 0-3, posted a 3.08 earned run average across 26.1 innings…walked just one batter and struck out 21, the seventh-best ratio in the NCAA and the fifth-fewest walks per nine innings in the country…went at least six innings in all four starts, including 7.1 innings in his final outing of the year, a loss against Seton Hall on March 5…held opponents to a .262 average.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2019): Was a go-to starter for the Gaels as he made 16 appearances and 14 starts for Saint Mary’s during the 2019 season...Collected a record of 10-2 on the year and pitched 88.2 innings total...Pitched six or more innings in nine of his starts during the season including a complete game shutout of the Portland Pilots on April 7, 2019...Allowed 81 hits and only 30 earned runs while striking out 58 batters and walking only 13...Ended the season with the second-lowest ERA on the team (3.05)...Was named Rawlings Pitcher of the Week on April 8 and WCC Pitcher of the Week on May 20...Named to the All-WCC Second Team following at the end of the year following his stellar junior year
AS A FRESHMAN (2018): Made 11 appearances and started five games for the Gaels in 2018 ... In 36 1/3 innings pitched, he allowed only 34 hits including just one home run ... Struck out 23 batters and walked 12 over the course of the season ... Ended the season with an ERA of 4.21 ... Made his collegiate debut on February 19 versus CSU Bakersfield and gave up just one earned run on six scattered hits and struck out three with no walks ... Posted three shutout innings against Nevada on April 9 in his fourth start of the season ... Threw six shutout innings versus Utah Valley on April 28th which also happened to be his longest outting of the season (6 1/3) ... Played on the Bethesda Big Train in the Cal Ripken League during the summer of 2018.
