AS A SENIOR (2024): Made 22 appearances and one start for the Gaels... His 22 relief appearances went down as second most on the team, helping him tally 38 innings of work and 51 strikeouts (4th most)... Howey held his opponents to a .270 average and recorded four wins on the season... His season high came in a 4-3 victory vs. Pepperdine where Howey threw five innings in relief and struckout five batters to pickup his fourth win of the season...
AS A JUNIOR (2023): Made 25 appearances…..Struck out 27 over 30.1 innings….Recorded two saves….Recorded season-high four strikeouts against Santa Clara in the Semi-Finals of the WCC tournament
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022): Pitched in 13 games covering 23 innings in his second season at Saint Mary's... had a 9.39 ERA with 14 walks and 17 strikeouts.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021): Appeared in 12 games as a freshman at Saint Mary's, with a 1-1 record out of the bullpen...struck out 17 during his 15.1 innings of work, while walking just five...made his collegiate debut against Utah Valley on February 20 and threw twice in the series, retiring all seven batters he faced and striking out five of them...recorded his first collegiate save during his Saint Mary's debut...earned his first collegiate win after throwing 3.1 innings of relief (the longest outing of his career) on March 13 in a doubleheader against Pacific.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Graduate of Arcadia High School...went 13-1 in his high school days with 86 strikeouts and a 0.75 earned run average...was named the 2019 MVP of the league, and the pitcher of the year...First-Team All-CIF, 2nd-Team All-State in 2019, his last full season... is the younger brother of actress Brianne Howey.
