PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S:
The 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year while competing at Siena University, Goewey joins the Gaels for her senior season...In her junior season with the Saints, the Bend, Oregon native made 33 appearances, including 18 starts, amassing a 14-13 record and a 2.78 ERA. Limited opponents to just a 0.217 batting average while fanning 164 over 168.2 innings. Worked seven complete game shutout efforts...Also had a career year at the plate, slashing 0.372/0.637/0.479 with nine doubles, seven homers and 27 RBI...Beyond her pitcher of the year award, she also earned Second Team All-Region, All-ECAC and All-MAAC honors in 2026, and set the program single season record for strikeouts and shutouts...Amongst many memorable games in her junior year, tossed a no-hitter against Manhattan on Apr. 12, 2026 as part of a 19.1 consecutive scoreless inning streak...After a quiet freshman campaign that saw her make just six appearances in the circle, Goewey burst onto the scene as a sophomore in 2025, going 11-2 in 25 appearances (nine starts) with a 2.06 ERA...Struck out 109 to just 36 walks over 91.2 innings that year, and slashed 0.296/0.503/0.406 at the plate with nine doubles, four triples, six homers and 32 RBI...Was named a 2025 second team All-MAAC honoree and was named to the MAAC All-Championship team after going 2-1 in the circle with 17 strikeouts over 13.2 innings in the 2025 MAAC postseason...Tied a MAAC single game record with 16 strikeouts against Saint Peter's (May 1, 2025)...Ranks in the top-10 in Siena program history for wins (26, 7th), saves (3, t-5th), ERA (2.77, 5th), strikeouts (283, 8th), shutouts (9, 4th), on-base percentage (0.426, 6th) and slugging percentage (0.524, 6th)...Prepped at Bend High School in Bend, Oregon...Was a two-time first team All-State selection during her high school career, hitting 0.514 while amassing a 0.97 ERA in the circle for the Lava Bears.
