As a Redshirt Senior (2013): Appeared in eight games, making four starts… tossed 13.2 innings, allowing 16 earned runs with six strikeouts… started the season opener at Cal State Northridge, going 3.1 innings, allowing one run… finished the year in the home finale against UC Davis, going three innings, allowing two runs and striking out one ... Named to the WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll for academic excellence.
Summer League (2011): Made four appearances with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the prestigious Cape Cod League...went 0-0 with a 4.26 ERA...in 6.1 innings pitched he struck out two, while allowing three earned runs.
As a junior (2011): Was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Month for the Month of March after going 4-1 with a 1.67 ERA with three shutouts...named the Rawlings WCC Pitcher of the Week on 3/7 following his complete game shutout against No. 25 UC Irvine...went 8-6 on the year with a 3.50 ERA in 108.0 innings pitched...the eight wins was the first for SMC since 1987...the 108 innings pitched is ninth most in a single season...his 80 strike outs is eighth most in a single season...tied Tom Candiotti's single season record of four shutouts set in 1976...on 2/25 earned the win over No. 15 Oregon on the road, defeated Tyler Anderson who was drafted 20th overall in the MLB draft...threw a 2 hit complete game shutout against New Orleans on 3/25...went 6-1 in non-conference play with a 3.07 k/bb ratio, 7.5 h/9 and 6.66 k/9...in WCC play he went 2-5 with a 5.86 ERA in 50.2 innings pitched...in seven starts in WCC play he allowed 9.96 h/9 with a 3.54 k/bb ratio.
As a sophomore (2010): Made 14 appearances for the Gaels, all as a starter on the mound...pitched a team-high 103.0 innings...had three complete games, and was the only player on the team with a complete game...led the team with a 4.19 earned run average and had a 5-5 record...struck out 55 hitters and held opponent to a .291 batting average...was 3-3 with a 4.61 ERA and 30 strikeout in 54.2 innings during WCC play...started off the season with a 0-1 record in his first four starts, before throwing a complete game in a 6-4 win over UC Riverside on Mar. 26...allowed four runs on seven hits with five Ks against the Highlanders...threw a complete game in a 4-1 loss to Tulane on Mar. 19...got the win in a 19-11 win over Southern Mississippi, throwing 6.0 innings allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits...allowed four runs on 10 hits in 8.0 innings in a 10-4 over Santa Clara on Apr. 23...earn wins in back-to-back starts when he had a season-high seven strikeouts in 7.0 innings against Loyola Marymount in a 14-9 win...pitched a complete game in a 4-1 loss to No. 15 San Diego on May 28.
As a freshman (2009): Made his Gaels debut on Feb. 27 against Sam Houston State…played in 12 games making his first collegiate start on Feb. 28 against Missouri State in which he went 1-for-3…made his debut on the mound on Feb. 28 against Missouri State pitching a perfect inning…made 15 appearances on the year, pitching 37.1, going 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA…earned his first collegiate win on Apr. 29 against No. 13 Cal Poly, pitched 5.0 complete innings of relief work, scattering four hits, one earned run and struck out four…longest outing of the season came against Santa Clara on May 10 going 7.0 innings…against Hawaii on May 5 went 6.1 innings allowing one hit and striking out a career-high six batters…in his final three appearances he pitched 18.2 inning with two earned runs and 13 strike outs.
High School: Came to Moraga by way of Tempe, AZ where he attended McClintock High School...was a three-time letter winner for the Chargers' baseball team...in 2008 he received First Team All-Region, and All-State Honorable Mention for a season that saw him hit .321 going 17-for-71 with 12 RBI, clubbing four doubles, one triple, and one homerun...off the mound he posted a 2.65 ERA in 31.2 innings pitched, he allowed 12 earned runs while striking out 28 to just four walk...was the winning pitcher for the Chargers' 2007 4A State Championship squad his junior year...helped his club team win the 2006 Super Series National Championship, and was selected to the all-tournament team...was also recruited by Cal, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Indiana, Northwestern and Baylor...plans to major in Business while at Saint Mary's and would like to continue his playing career or go into coaching after graduation.
