Box Score DAVIS, Calif. – SMC Women's Tennis has now won three of their last four matches after the Gaels 6-1 victory over UC Davis at the Marya Welch Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
 
Mariia Kozyreva needed just two sets to defeat Sara Tsukamoto 7-5, 6-1 in match one, while Lene Mari Hovda beat Olive Maunupau 6-0, 6-2. Jocelyn Massey took down Kristina Evloeva 6-0, 6-4 and Jordan Harris outlasted Yana Gurevich in an epic 6-4, 6-7 (8-10), 10-5 win. It was also an incredibly narrow loss for Julia Ronney in the lone match the Gaels didn't claim as they dominated the day overall.
 
Harris and Kozyreva were again a winning combo as they topped Tsukamoto and Lauren Ko 7-5, and Massey and Ronney defeated Evloeva and Michelle Zell 6-4 to take the doubles point in Gaels ninth straight win over the Aggies.
 
UP NEXT
The Gaels play back-to-back road matches this coming weekend against WCC foe San Diego on Saturday and at Long Beach State on Sunday. Both matches will begin at 12 noon. The Gaels will make their return home on March 16 against San Jose State.
