MTEN | Gaels Take a Set, Fall in Rematch to Cal

BERKELEY, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's tennis team went to Berkeley for a rematch with the No. 56 Cal Golden Bears but fell 6-1 on Friday.
The Gaels took a set this time around, thanks to a singles win from Francisco Duran for his second dual win of the season. Duran took down Cal's Winston Lee in the six-spot in a thrilling, three-set match, 7-6 3-7 6-4. Paulo Hugo Etchecoin took both of his singles sets to a tiebreaker, but fell, 7-5 7-5, as Cal earned the 6-1 match victory, for its eleventh win of the season.
