CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
AS A JUNIOR (2023): Part of a three Gael catching rotation, appearing in 29 games and starting six...Hit .171 on the season, tallying seven hits in 41 ABs...Lone multi-hit game came against San Jose State on February 25, going 2-for-2 with a career-best three RBI...Had the go-ahead two run single in a win against Pacific on April 29...Picked up her first two runners caught stealing against Utah Tech (Feb. 10) and Cal Baptist (Apr. 24).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022): Appeared in 33 games and made 14 starts during her second season as a Gael...hit .173 on the year with nine hits in 52 at bats...nearly walked as many times as she struck out (seven walks to just eight strikeouts)...had hits in five out of six games from April 16-30, which included a two-run double against Pacific on April 30...hit .261 in conference play with a .304 slugging percentage.
AS A FRESHMAN (2021): Appeared in 34 games and started in 24 … made her collegiate debut against Nevada on Feb. 11 … walked and singled while scoring and driving in two in her two plate appearances against California Baptist on Mar. 19 … finished the season batting .217 with a .309 on base percentage, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored ... struck out only 12 times all season.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Franco was twice named All-League during her time with her varsity squad heading into her senior season ... as a sophomore, she was named First Team in the Mission Valley League and followed that up with a Second Team selection as a junior ... plans to study biology and hopes to attend medical school after graduation to become an orthopedic surgeon.
