AS A JUNIOR (2025): Played in 14 games and made two starts during his junior season and second as a Gael... Finished the season with two hits, an RBI and a run scored in his 13 at-bats... Had an RBI single and scored a run in a 19-9 non-conference win over San Diego State.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2024): After transferring from fellow WCC member San Diego, Esquivel made his Gaels debut playing in 23 games and making 8 starts... He finished with ten hits for a .270 average which included two doubles and four RBI's... His season high came in a matchup against his former team where he went 2-3 from the plate including the go-ahead RBI in the 9th to give Saint Mary's the 3-2 conference win (3/22).
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY’S: University of San Diego
AS A FRESHMAN (2023): Spent 2023 at University of San Diego… from San Diego, CA attending La Jolla Country Day School … batted .372, achieved an on-base of .538, and slugged .663 in his senior year … helped his team win the Coastal League Championship as a junior in 2021 … earned First Team All-Conference honors in the Coastal League and Second Team All-CIF San Diego Section as a captain in 2022.
