AS A SOPHOMORE (2025): Appeared in 15 games and made one start for Saint Mary's... Finished the season with a 7.40 ERA, a 1.94 WHIP and an 0-1 record on the mound... Recorded 20.2 innings pitched, allowed 27 hits, 17 earned runs, 13 walks and struck out 17 batters... Pitched a season high three scoreless innings with five strikeouts to earn the save in a 5-1 win over #21 UC Santa Barbara.   

AS A FRESHMAN (2024): In his first season as a Gael Santiago made 14 appearances and one start in 2024... In 17.1 innings of work, he recorded a 7.27 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP... Recorded a save and finished with 14 strikeouts... Threw a season high four innings allowing just one run and striking out two batters in a 13-7 conference victory vs. LMU (4/14).

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY’S: From La Verne, CA attending Bonita High School … his senior year he tallied 73 innings pitched with 92 strikeouts and threw a no-hitter … earned first team D1 CIF southern section, first team All-Area, and Bonita Cy Young … his junior year he won Bonita Cy Young while recording 75 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched
