AS A SENIOR (2024): Played in 51 games and made 49 starts as the team's primary designated hitter... Chong finished his senior campaign batting .270 at the plate with 48 hits, 6 doubles, 33 RBI's and a career high 13 home runs... Had 11 multi-hit games with a season high three hits in three different games (Grand Canyon, Golden Grizzlies, Cal)... Finished the season with hits in 7 of his last 9 games and had two home runs in their final conference series against Portland... 

AS A JUNIOR (2023): Limited to 37 games due to injury after being hit by a pitch that caused a facial an orbital bone fracture on March 17... returned to action on April 4 and went 1 for 1 vs. UC Davis…..Batted .315 on the season…..Recorded 40 hits in 127 at-bats, including 8 doubles, 1 triple, and 6 Home Runs….Recorded season-high three hits against Gonzaga on May 5th, 2023…..Recorded season-high five RBIs against Pacific on April 16th, 2023
 
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022): Started 33 of his 44 appearances as a sophomore for the Gaels… Chong’s average was .543 before entering conference play in 2022… he would finish batting .316… on March 5th Chong delivered season-highs in hits, doubles, triples, runs scored, and RBIs during the Gaels win at UC Riverside

AS A FRESHMAN (2021): Made 19 appearances as a true freshman for the Gaels, with nine of those being starts...recorded seven hits on the season and drove in a run while scoring twice...tallied his first collegiate hit in a pinch-hit capacity against Cal on March 4...made his first starts in the second conference series of the year for SMC, where he recorded a pair of hits including his first collegiate double...drove in his only collegiate run in a Gaels come-from-behind win over Gonzaga on April 9...did not make an error in the field, playing primarily first base.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Graduate of Fullerton Union High School...last full season was 2019, where he hit .436 as a junior with 34 hits, 20 RBI and an OPS of 1.145...earned First Team All-League, along with Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, and a Scholar-Athlete Award.
