CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
  • 2022 WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention
AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2024): Appeared in 10 games and made 5 starts while recording 563 minutes of action... After starting the season late due to injury, Cowan finished the year with one goal on ten shots, scoring in the team's home finale vs. San Francisco... Cowan recorded four 90-minute performances while playing in the team's midfield. 

AS A SENIOR (2023): Played in nine games and made six starts... Tallied 497 minutes played and finished the season with a goal and two assists... Cowan scored a goal and had his two assists in a preseason contest vs. Detroit Mercy where the Gaels won 5-1. 

AS A JUNIOR (2022): Appeared in 14 games with 10 starts... recorded assists against UC Davis (Sept. 4) and against Cal Poly (Sept. 17)... Named WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention with a 3.394 GPA.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2021): Appeared in 16 matches starting 11 of them ... tied for the team high with three goals and second on the team in shots on goal with 11 ... his 11 shots on goal were also the 9th most in the conference ... had goals in back to back games against Portland and San Francisco, including the game winner against Portland.  

AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Played in all nine matches and started eight times (season played during spring of 2021) … played 99 minutes against Pacific on Feb. 17 in his collegiate debut … started the first seven games of the year … took three shots during the season and had a two-shot game against San Diego on Mar. 7.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Cowan is an outside midfielder who has played for Real Colorado for the past four years. In the 2017-18 season, he totaled 16 goals and would go on to score 11 the next year. Cowan also helped his club team reach the DA Quarterfinals during the 2018-19 season. The Coloradan cited Saint Mary's recent success and the beautiful campus as two of the major factors for his commitment. He will begin studying finance this fall.
