AS A SOPHOMORE (2021): Appeared in and started 15 matches as a sophomore ... was fifth on the team in minutes with 1157 including a 110 minute effort against San Francisco ... took 10 shots on the year with two on goal ... helped lead the defense to eight clean sheets.
AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Started all nine matches as a true freshman (season played during spring of 2021) … named First Team All-WCC and to WCC All-Freshman Team ... WCC Offensive Player of the Week on Mar. 30 for his goal and assist against San Francisco … scored off a corner kick for his first career goal and then picked up an assist on the game-winning goal with a long throw in into the box against the Dons … helped the defense record four clean sheets … scored a goal and tallied two assists … took three shots in the match … tied for the team lead in minutes (842) and didn’t miss a single minute of action … fired off six total shots with three coming on goal … made his college debut on Feb. 17 against Pacific.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Engmann was a standout at King's High School in Shoreline, a town just up the coast from Seattle. As a junior, he was voted MVP of his league unanimously in addition to First Team All-State and All-Area nods. That season, Engmann scored 16 goals while also helping his team record 12 clean sheets. The center back was also named First Team All-Conference as a freshman and sophomore. Engmann will pursue a degree in communications and after graduating would like to play professionally and become a sports broadcaster.
