Biography

AS A SENIOR (2019): Played in 17 games and made 16 starts … named First Team All-WCC for second straight season … also named First Team All-Region by United Soccer Coaches … WCC Preseason Team honoree … Preseason MAC Hermann Watchlist member … second on the team with five assists … scored and notched an assist in a 4-0 win over Omaha … had three straight games with an assist in the non-conference schedule … took a season-high five shots against Cal State Bakersfield on Sep. 13 … fourth on team with 29 shots taken … tallied a total of 1,169 minutes.

AS A JUNIOR (2018): Made 13 starts in 15 appearances for the Gaels … earned a spot on the WCC First Team and the All-West Region Team … recorded four goals during the season … took 34 shots … tallied six shots in matches against UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara … picked up four assists … logged over 1,000 minutes of play.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2017): Made an appearance in all 17 games and 15 starts … named a WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … was tied for third on the team in assists with three … two assists came in the Gaels’ 5-0 win over Loyola Marymount … scored a goal against Akron … played in 110 minutes twice … fired off 22 shots.

AS A FRESHMAN (2016): Appeared in 18 games and 17 starts for the club … fired off 24 shots with nine coming on net … named SMC Student-Athlete of the Week after a two goal exhibition match against San Jose State … named to All-West Coast Conference Second Team and Freshman Team … scored his first collegiate goal in a 4-1 win over UNLV … recorded an assist in a 2-2 draw against Stanford.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S:  A 2016 graduate of Wichterlovo gymnázium … played four years of club soccer in the youth system for FC Baník Ostrava … son of Petr and Ivana Svehlik … has one sister, Barbora.
