AS A JUNIOR (2019): Appeared and started in 17 matches as part of the Gaels’ back line … helped the team pitch 11 clean sheets … named to WCC All-Academic Team while studying physics with a 3.93 GPA … picked up first assist of the season against Santa Clara on Oct. 12 … took seven shots during the season including two against Sacramento State on Sep. 29 … played 90 or more minutes 11 times … totaled 1407 minutes. 

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018): Started all 20 games for Saint Mary’s … received an honorable mention for the WCC All-Academic Team … recorded lone goal of the season against San Jose State … took eight shots with five being on frame … tallied three assists.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017): Appeared in nine games and made six starts for the Gaels … scored his first career goal against San Diego on Oct. 29 … made his first collegiate start against Santa Clara … took nine shots during the year … helped his team record three shutouts during the season … made his collegiate debut against San Jose State.

PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Played three years for his club squad TSV 1860 Munich... Was named Player of the Year for Munich in 2017... Plans to major in Mathematics and Computer Science... Parents are Astrid and Stefan Sponer... Has one sibling Vincent.
