
Men's Soccer Loses to #23 San Diego, 2-0

Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's men's soccer team (4-13-3/0-5-1 WCC) was defeated by the San Diego Toreros (14-5/3-3 WCC), 2-0, on Sunday, November 17 in the Gaels final game of the season.
Prior to the game, Saint Mary's honored six senior's participating in their final game as a Gael - Jack Woodley, Brian Rhodes, Jady Nunan, Brian Voltattorni and Evan Fontaine.
San Diego had some chances to score early but were unable to connect as they outshot the Gaels 12-1 in the first half as the score was tied, 0-0.
In the second half the Toreros ended a scoreless tie at the 64:31 minute mark when Ryan Coiner found an open hole at the bottom left-hand corner of the goal on an assist from Scott Burcar.
Moments later the Toreros scored again to take a 2-0 lead. This time it was Garret Turk who headed in the second goal of the game on an assist from teammate Eric Wunderle.
SMC's goalkeeper's Kealii Kuehu and Aaron Valdez tallied seven and five saves, respectively. USD's keeper Parker Jarvis recorded no saves.
