As a senior (2011): A utility player for the Gaels entering his senior year, David batted .222 in 18 plate appearances during the 2011 season..as a leadoff hitter, he was 3-for-6 and 4-for-15 overall against RHP...primarily utilized as a pinch hitter, David was 3-for-14 in pinch hit situations...finished his career with a .260 average going 20-for-77 with two doubles, two runs scored and six runs driven in.
As a junior (2010): Saw playing time in six games...finished the season with a .250 average, going 1-for-4 with one walk...had an RBI and a run scored against UC Irvine on Mar. 5...only hit of the season came against Seattle University on Mary 22 when he was 1-for-1.
As a sophomore (2009): Played in 23 games starting nine…made his first collegiate start on 3/14 against No. 25 UC Santa Barbara, it was also his first multi-hit game going 2-for-2 with an RBI…on 3/17 against Cornell he clubbed his first extra-base hit, a double…in the win over San Diego on 4/17 he went 2-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a double.
As a freshman (2008): Played in 12 games as a true freshman...made collegiate debut on 3/1 vs. UW Milwaukee...notched first collegiate hit on 4/15 vs. San Francisco State, and also drove in his first collegiate RBI in that game as well...drew a walk and scored a crucial run in a four run inning that put the game away in the win over Portland on 5/16.
High School: Came to Moraga after earning three letters in baseball from Jesuit High School in Portland, Oregon...named First Team All-State and First Team All-Metro in his senior campaign...posted a .455 average on the strength of 12 doubles, five triples, and three home runs in 2007...also knocked in 28 runs while slugging at a .762 clip in his senior year...also named to the Second Team All-Metro squad as a junior.
