AS A FRESHMAN (2026): Made 18 appearances and four starts as a true freshman for the Gaels... Finished the 2026 season with a 5.71 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP and a 1-1 record on the mound... Allowed 22 earned runs off 36 hits, eleven walks while striking out 37 batters... Opposing hitters hit .271 off Nobles for the season... Made his collegiate debut with his first career start in a midweek contest against Bakersfield; completed four innings allowing just two runs off three hits while striking out four batters (2/24)... Struck out a season high five batters in his second start of the season, completing four innings in a 7-2 victory over UC Davis (3/3)... Recorded his first collegiate win in two innings of work as the designated opener in a 11-5 victory over Nevada (4/21)... Pitched a season high 4.1 innings, allowing just one run off six hits along with five strikeouts in a no-decision against San Francisco (5/14)... Pitched 2.1 innings in relief in a 10-7 victory over Pacific in the WCC Tournament (5/22)... Pitched 3.1 scoreless innings in relief allowing just two hits in the NCAA Los Angeles Regional Final against Cal Poly (5/31)... PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Jake Nobles attended Villa Park High School and was a two-year varsity player... Finished the 2025 season with a .394 BA, 28 hits, 13 runs scored, one home run and 16 RBI... Also made 12 appearances on the mount for Villa Park, finishing his senior season with a 0.33 ERA, a 6-1 record, two complete games, 51 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched... Named Prep Baseball California Pitcher of the Week after just the second week of the 2025 high school season... Villa Park finished with a 25-8 record in 2025 and placed second in the Crestview League with an 8-4 record... Defeated Granite Hills 5-4 in extra innings to advance to the Division I Regional semifinals with St. John Bosco.
