PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: South Mountain CC
AS A SOPHOMORE (2025): Made 17 appearances and 14 starts with a team best 9-2 record... Recorded three complete games and pitched a team high 83.2 innings with 67 strikeouts... Recorded a season high seven strikeouts twice in league wins over Chandler-Gilbert CC and South Arkansas College... Team went 47-19 overall and 33-7 in league play... Defeated Pima Community College 11-6 for NJCAA Region I Division II Championship... Went on to win NJCAA Division II West District Championship 10-9 over South Arkansas College.
AS A FRESHMAN (2024): As a true freshman at South Mountain Community College, Romero made 16 appearances and three starts and finished the season with a 5-5 record... He pitched 37.2 innings with an ERA of 4.06... Romer pitched a seven inning complete game shutout in a 13-0 win over Phoenix College, allowing just six hits while striking out five... Recorded a season high eight strikeouts over 3.2 releif innings in an 11-7 victory over Arizona Western College... As a team, the Cougars went 38-27 overall and 22-16 in league play in 2024...
