CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
AS A SOPHOMORE (2026): Appeared in 51 games and made 48 starts as a DH and third base option for the Gaels in 2026... Finished with a .275 batting average, a .337 on-base percentage, a .65 slugging percentage and a .702 OPS... Recorded 49 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, one home run, 27 RBI and 24 runs scored... Got the start as the DH on opening day against Creighton where he went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the team's 11-3 defeat (2/13)... Recorded a season high three hits twice in back-to-back games... Went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in a 13-4 victory over San Jose State (3/1)... The very next game, went 3-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored and a double in a 7-2 midweek win over UC Davis (3/3)... Recorded his first home run of the season in a thrilling 15-11 13-inning victory over Santa Clara (4/12)... Went back-to-back with teammate Ian Armstrong in the third inning of that game... As a true freshman, Petit finished with a .408 batting average, a .551 slugging percentage, a .491 on-base percentage and a 1.042 OPS... In his 49 at bats, Petit recorded 20 hits, four doubles, one home run, ten RBI and scored eleven runs... Petit recorded his first collegiate hit and RBI with an RBI double in a 16-1 win over Saint Louis... He had a career high three hits including his first collegiate home run in a 12-11 conference win over Gonzaga... Made his first career start in an 8-0 win over Utah Tech where he went 1-for-2... Recorded a pinch hit single in the NCAA Regional against #8 Oregon State.
